Job Opening: Sales Representative
Job Description
Profab Electronics is an electronics contract manufacturer known in the industry for exceptional customer service and quality. We have recently undertaken an aggressive growth & expansion initiative involving a physical plant expansion as well as expanded product offerings. We are seeking a sales representative to generate a sales pipeline in line with growth expectations. The job requires an understanding of a "solution selling" philosophy and methodology. Candidates must have technical knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and process engineering, as well as an understanding of product integration in order to offer creative solutions to potential and current customers that lowers their total acquisition cost. Candidate must be self-motivated to generate their own leads and be organized and determined to follow up and not let any opportunities fall through the cracks. 70% travel.
Responsibilities
New Sales:
- Establish new leads / sales opportunities regularly.
- Call on & follow up with self-attained leads as well as company-furnished leads.
- Report lead / customer contact activity.
- Develop a sales / opportunity pipeline in line with expectations.
Quoting:
- Evaluate all assembly requirements and furnish to in-house quoting team.
- Ensure completeness of documentation before handing over to quoting.
- Review documentation to determine creative solutions for lowering total cost of acquisition to customer.
- Establish target pricing.
- Direct BOM quoting team as to the correct approach for quoting.
- Communicate questions/discrepancies with customer as necessary.
- Review all quoting activity & pricing before submitting to customer.
Customer Relations:
- Maintain regular contact with customers.
- Determine customer satisfaction levels and ensure needs are being met and are being communicated properly.
- Understand customers' developing projects and keep up-to-date with progress in order to offer input and allow Profab's process engineering & purchasing teams to offer input during the early stages of product development.
